  • Imported Japanese mechanism and technology.
  • Smooth Shifting XTRONIC CVT
  • Teana's USP is its balanced proportion, modern luxury interiors, and riding comfort.
  • Spacious wooden interiors with leather upholstery and a stylish dashboard.
  • The Teana has a wide wheelbase that improves its stability.
  • Can provide wider range of transmissions.
  • Pricey

The Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan Motors had launched its second product, the Teana, in India in 2007. Nissan previously, in 2004, launched the most fuel-efficient SUV in India known as the X-TRAIL. Now in an attempt to expand its hold on the Indian market, Nissan brings out the facelifted Teana with a refreshed look and a powerful engine.
The new Teana pools amazingly advanced technology with a streamlined body design and a powerful engine. Teana is a luxury sedan that is designed to attract stares and awe its passengers. It holds mechanisms and parts that have been imported from Japan and the difference in road performance is noticeable.
Teana now comes in two petrol variants: XL and XV. The two variants are powered by a reputed Nissan VQ series engines. The new Nissan Teana is out to give tough competition to the Skoda Superb and Toyota Camry.

Powertrain & Performance

Under the hood of the face lifted Teana lays a robust and smooth 2496cc VQ25DE V6 petrol engine that has been acclaimed as one of the “Ten Best Engines” by Ward‚s Auto World magazine for 15 consecutive years. This engine produces a massive power of 179.5 bhp@6000 rpm and a torque of 228 Nm@4400 rpm giving you the lightning streak pick-up on highways and clearing the roads for you in cities.
This power is coupled with a smooth shifting XTRONIC CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) that you can govern with the touch of a single finger. An ECCS Electronic Fuel Injection Control allows for the optimal power generation in the engine, thereby improving its fuel-economy. It rides on independent struts of ball-joint type suspension in the front and multi-link type suspension in the rear which can absorb all kinds of road irregularities.
The new Teana comes with 17-inch tyres and aluminium alloy wheels as standard fitment and it has a revolutionary multilink suspension that smoothens out the most stubborn of bumps. Extra legroom allows you to stretch and relax while enjoying a long drive.

Build & Styling

New Nissan Teana Car - Interior
Luxury is just one word that can define the Teana. Its leather upholstery and 8-way electronically powered front driver's seat will have you enjoying a relaxing drive all day long. It has a turning radius of 5.3 meters that gives you absolute control over the car. The Teana is longer than most cars in its segment and it has a wide wheelbase that improves its interior space and stability. However, it has a lower ground clearance that may make it difficult to speed over large bumps.
The new Teana sports retractable stylish glass sunroof with UV protection, which lets the rear seat passengers enjoy the sun, filling the cabin with an open air ambience. The sophisticated wooden interiors and the stylish dashboard caress you like a luxury suite of a 5-star hotel. The cockpit is not only visually appealing but also carefully designed to deliver ultimate convenience and ease of use to the driver and all passengers concerned. The information console provides you with complete visual confirmation of air conditioning settings, outside temperature, audio system and time, as well as it allows you to monitor the drive computer. A well designed visual instrumentation with high-contrast white illumination assures maximum visibility. The large speedometer is further enhanced by a silver-coloured ring that cannot escape your notice. A one-of-its-kind rear power sunshade keeps the sunlight and glare away from rear passengers without blocking the driver's rear vision while also maintaining the temperature you set within the cabin of the car. There is a LED indirect illumination on the center console, front passenger and rear door grips that shines softly to create a more welcoming interior ambience. The soft-touch buttons and the pampering ottoman-style leg-rest on the front seats to support the lower legs take driving luxury to the next level. The boot consists of 476 litres of space that will not keep you wanting.
The revised Nissan Teana’s exterior is a balance of beauty and elegance. It has wheel arches that fit perfectly over the wheels and add to its aura of panache. It has high-projector headlamps, designed to light up the road, placed on either side of a stylish chrome grill. It also consists of high mounted LED rear stop lamps and LED rear lamps that will make sure that you catch everyone's eye when you decide to break. All wheel disc brakes along with ABS and EBD make sure that you have control of the car even in unforeseeable circumstances.
Teana is designed to absorb impact. It features crushable zones and a safety restraint zone that work together with multiple Supplemental Restraint System airbags to avoid or reduce injuries, in case of an accident. Wearing seatbelts at all times is advisable. In a collision, active head restraints instantly move forward to support the head and reduce impact on the neck.
Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, drive computer, twin exhaust, 8-way electrically powered driver's seat, 4-way electrically powered front passenger's seat, powered rear sun shade, active head rests, and 6 CD changer with 6 audio speakers.

Honda CRV is believed to be first small car like SUV. Instrumental panel inside the car is well designed, which is also very easy to be controlled. With enough cargo space it is equipped with many convenience features along with a foldable picnic table under the trunk carpet. For normal conditions Honda CRV is powered by front wheels. In harsh situations rear wheels can also be made to use. Very stylish interiors, powerful engine and many safety features like front seat airbags, front and rear side curtain airbags, antilock brakes, brake assist, electronic brake force distribution and vehicle stability assist with traction control are the major attraction in Honda CRV.

Honda CR-V Description :

Honda CR-V was first introduced in 1996. It was one of the first small car-like SUVs on the market. Even though it was slightly underpowered (126 hp), many customers appreciated the unique combination of low fuel consumption, all-wheel drive, spacious interior and reliability. Thanks to unibody construction and light weight (only 3160 lb or 1433 kg), the Honda CR-V has very predictable car-like handling. Inside you will find well-designed, user-friendly instrument panel, easy to use controls, lots of cargo space and many convenience features, including even a fold-out picnic table under the trunk carpet. There are number of cup holders and storage compartments, there is even a storage box under the front passenger's seat. The rear seats fold almost flat for extra cargo space. The Honda all-wheel drive system is very helpful on slippery roads, although it's not designed for real off-road adventures. In normal conditions the Honda CR-V is powered by the front wheels. As the front wheels lose traction and start slipping, the rear wheels kick in to help. This is accomplished through the use of viscous clutch to engage the rear wheels. The CR-V comes in three trims: the LX, the EX and the EX-L. It is available in both front- or all-wheel drive. There are multiple safety features including front seat airbags, front seat-mounted side airbags, front and rear seat side air curtains, front seat active head restraints, antilock brakes, brake assist, electronic brake-force distribution and Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control.

Honda CR-V Pros :

Very Stylish and cosy interior, Powerful engine, Very comfortable, Spacious.

Honda CR-V Cons :

Overall price and maintainence cost are high, Fuel econonmy is not good. collapse
